Super Nova is based on the legendary Chimera 30w. Utilizing 3 x JFET J201’s mimicking glowing red-hot preamp tubes, biased to exact tube specifications. This pedal cleans up beautifully with the guitar volume knob and can get into tasty distortion that can do anything from Neil Young to Adam Jones.
This one slings the dirt with added distortion control. Loud, tight and heavy, this is a classic circuit tweaked to be louder and less bassy as the original. Uses the same Ge 1N34A diode as CSO and the new Apollo Drive. With all 3 of this in the chain (Apollo > DM+ > Clear Skies Overdrive), they are all humming in even-order harmonics and has to be heard and felt to understand.
